What is Photoshop?
Adobe Photoshop is a graphics and editing program developed and published by Adobe Systems. The version we will be using is Photoshop CS6, released in 2012. This program is a profesional high-quality creative design tool that is used in many different careers such as artist, photographers, video editors and graphic designers. It allows you to create, design, alter, and fix any kind of photograph or digital image.
John Paul II Collegiate is very fortunate to be able to have this program on all of our computers in the Media lab. You are not expected to have this at home, but there is a free 30-day trail available for download which does require parental consent as you need to sign-up with Adobe. The price for the actual software is anywhere between $699 - $999. For more information you can visit Adobe's website http://www.adobe.com/ca/products/photoshop.edu.html |
