Adobe Illustrator is a used by artists and graphic designers to create vector artwork for use in projects in both print and web. Illustrator also integrates with other Adobe programs allowing you to create with no limitations. Illustrator is a vector drawing program. It is often used to draw illustrations, cartoons, diagrams, charts and logos. Unlike bitmap images that stores information in a grid of dots, Illustrator uses mathematical equations to draw out the shapes. This makes vector graphics scalable without the loss of resolution
John Paul II Collegiate is very fortunate to be able to have this program on all of our computers in the Media lab. You are not expected to have this at home, but there is a free 30-day trail available for download which does require parental consent as you need to sign-up with Adobe.
